The other night we went down to Yas Island to visit Stars & Bars at the Yas Marina. The location in itself is pretty nice located directly on the Marina with a , specially at night, amazing view on the Yas Viceroy Hotel. We had sat inside as the humidity was pretty bad, but this is not a turn down. We chose to sit on the tables with the car seats as chairs which is pretty awesome and really comfortable.
Looking at the menu probably anybody could find something they like, a massive choice of starters, a very good selection of mains and deserts and almost more importantly a good choice of drinks.
We went for Chicken Fingers and the Crispy Calamari as starters and a Margherita Pizza and a Tenderloin as mains paired with a bottle of water and a Vanilla Milkshake. It did not take long until the Chicken Fingers and Calamari turned up, the Crispy Calamari Rings came with an aioli sauce and as well some spicy Marinara, all was excellent and I really loved the Marinara in combination with the Calamari. The Chicken Fingers were average at its best and had no real taste unfortunately. Even my 5 years old turn them down and rather hit on the Pizza instead. This could surely be done better.
The Tenderloin , ordered well done, came with mashed potatoes and vegetables plus a mushroom sauce on top. The Tenderloin was perfectly well done and matched exactly my taste. The vegetables where tasty as well and the mashed potato was superb, for me a perfect dish. The Margherita Pizza we ordered came with olives on top and looked already yummy. Taste wise it is certainly tasty with the dough being luckily not too soft. As well definitely something I can recommend.
Overall the taste experience was mixed with one starter being brilliant and one on average and both mains really good. The service was friendly and helpful and paid good attention. One thing that surprised me a bit negatively was the below standard condition of the toilets, this is not up to par with this otherwise really lovely location. We will nevertheless surely be back to try out some of the other options, and hopefully be able to sit outside when the weather is a bit more on our side.

Great place, great setting, great decor, loved it
Mainly realy good but the Chicken Fingers where off track
Friendly, Helpful, Attention paying
A nice place for an evening out with the boys or families as well, recommended from our side..
We had been around Yas Mall today a bit and wanted to eat something. I had never realized that there is as well another side on the Cascade Walk than the one where the water Fountain is. By pure coincidence we found the way and the flame grilled written on the Wall made us a bit curious. The South African Flag convinced somehow that you will surely get good beef over here.
Walking in the Furniture is quite nice and we really liked the tables. The whole ambiance is really stylish. In order to get something you have to order on the Counter. As the humidity outside was too high we decided to sit inside. Unfortunately the AC is not working very well too, tip: sit as close as possible to the counter. When we walked out later we realized that sitting outside would have been more pleasant.
We went with a Original King Steer with Chips , a Wacky Wednesdays Chicken duo and a 1/4 Chicken paired with a Coke and a Coke Zero. Total we came in on 101AED which is fair.
We originally wanted to order Shakes, but these were sadly not available. The order was quickly delivered to the table and the Original King Steer was quite good. Same can be said about the Wacky Wednesdays Chicken duo. The 1/4 chicken was just ok, nothing really special in our opinion. The French Fries Chips were really good and the Steer BBQ Sauce and Mustard Sauce are matching perfect here. Would have loved to take the BBQ one with me home. Overall you got a quite nice location but a little isolated from the rest of the Mall. The Burgers are pretty good but the Chicken is not really a Showstar.
The Italian car maker has invited a select group of customers to test drive the1,050 horsepower prototype at the Finali Mondiali Ferrari, an annual event which is taking place outside Europe for the first time.
The event began yesterday and runs through Saturday, when the unveiling is scheduled to take place. The car maker will also display more than 200 exotic and limited-series models, including 74 challenge cars and 17 Formula One single-seaters.
We have tried out today the new Roller Coaster Restaurant located in the newly opened Yas Mall on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island.
The Roller Coaster Restaurant is located on the first floor close to the Cheesecake Factory and the central plaza. The Restaurant is quite big and there are no conventional tables. You are sitting with other guests on a bar around a rail system which delivers your drinks and foods on little wagons/roller coasters.
The order is made with a tablet which is underneath the tablet fixed. We had been explained that we need to create a group name and need an access code to order. In the end the tablet was linked to a number on each seat which reflects on the little wagon coming so you know what is yours and what is for others. The reason why you need a team name is still not clear to me. But OK. There is always some staff around to help you with info’s and to explain how it works.
We went for the Crunchy Chicken Strips as starter with a water and a Pepsi and Seafood Linguine and a G-Force Chicken Burger as main coursed. The Chicken Strips despite coming with too less of dip have been very tasty and well done. The Seafood Linguine was as well very good and tasty. Unfortunately the G-Force Chicken Burger was a not at all tasty nightmare. I would have wished that there would be a bit taste in it at least.
The whole arrangement is fun to see and certainly very much suitable for groups. The Food itself is okay , but OK does not really make you revisit the Restaurant unless you go there to see the roller coasters delivering food with friends. It is a cool unique concept though.
The Roller Coaster Restaurant - Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi
Well located inside the Yas Mall
Good Noodles, and Chicken Strips, horrible Burger
extremely friendly and helpful .
It's a nice place to go and see, eventually boring once you have been there.

I had been to the Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi this morning to have a little look around. Despite quite some shops are already open as well a lot of more shops are not open yet. The Mall is quite huge and I had honestly problems finding back to where I had parked. Parking itself is huge and no problem to find space at all…
Cool things I found in my first visit: Finally Cheesecake Factory and PF Changs in Abu Dhabi, First LEGO store in the region. a Restaurant that delivers food by a roller coaster. Will go back soon to check out more…
