We went to the Reel Cinemas at the Dubai Mall today to watch Hansel & Gretel, Witch Hunters. I found this movie great. I went in not expecting a great plot but a simple one. I went in expecting the lines to be kind of cheesy and they were. I thought it was great for many reasons.
Did they accomplish what they set out to do? Yes Did they do it well? Yes Did it have the best dialogue? No. But was the dialogue saved by the delivery of the lines? Yes. Was the ending great? Yes. Does it call for a sequel? No. But that is a good thing. It set out exactly what it was meant to. There is no need for a sequel. It would be extensively repetitious. The movie is 88 min long. That is great. It doesn’t drag on and its not too short. It accomplishes what it set out to do. No less no more.
The 3D was not really the big burner, but if you like things flying towards you it is OK. But i am sure the normal version will do it as well. I was a bit surprised how often the f word was used and not even censored here.
With racing cars and thrilling action scenes, the movie features Arnold Schwarzenegger as he is tasked with going after a group of gang members lead by a drug lord. All in all, it’s agreeable that there were a couple of faults, and a couple of scenes where that may have been silly and awkward. It’s fun to watch. It’s full of action, gunfire, and shoot outs. The action is nonstop, and there many explosions as well. Any trailer for this movie should pull you right in to watch it.
This movie is full of intense, bloody action, exciting car chases (thanks to a supped up Corvette ZR1 with over one thousand horsepower!) and funny one liner’s. The film never takes itself too serious (which is good thing) and is surprisingly funny throughout. All in All it is a brilliant marketing movie for Chevrolet and GMC as throughout the whole movie you see the ZR1,Camaro , Hummer H2’s and various other vehicles.
i did not even know that e new Die Hard Movie is about to come. But it looks like that Die Hard 5 “A Good Day to Die Hard” is just around the corner.
“John McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working to prevent a nuclear-weapons heist, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.”
We went to see Chinese Zodiac 3D with Jackie Chan today at the Reel Cinema at Dubai Marina Mall.
The movie is really good, Ii did not expect too much on it but story as well as picture where really cool. The scenes came really good in 3D, unlike Man in Black 3 where the 3D was not really the burner.
The movie unlike the most Jackie Chan movies is not a one man show. It is a team with him as leader which makes it much more interesting to watch.
The plot is quite simple, a bit of an paid Indiana Jones and a bit of the Pirates of the Caribbean but nevertheless not boring to watch. For Action Fans definitely a must watch movie.
Also Jackie received two awards for Most Stunts Performed By A Living Actor and for Most Credits For One Movie. The credits in question are Jackie’s fifteen credits for Chinese Zodiac which are:
Unit Production Manager
Catering Coordinator (he organises the food too?!?)
