We had not been in the Bay Avenue in Business Bay since we moved away from there, passing by today we saw that way more shops and Restaurants are there than when we left back in beginning of 2014. One of the Restaurants, Tangerine, caught our attention so we thought why not try them out.
Tangerine is located on the Ground floor towards the Park side of the Bay Avenue. It is modern and chic styled and offers a classy ambiance. It offers dishes from different countries like Chinese, Thai, Indonesian and Malaysian cuisine. If you enjoy Far Eastern dishes there will be surely something for you around the big menu. Prawn Crackers are served complimentary and are delicious. We went for Prawn Tempura’s which are crispy friend Prawns served with a Sweet Chilli sauce. These came pretty quickly had been really good, the Sweet Chilli Sauce was just a little bit spicy, just right for my taste.
As main courses we ordered the Beef in Black Pepper sauce paired with steamed rice and the Pad Thai Kung Sod. The Beef arrived first and the taste was perfect. Slight spicy as well, but in combination with the rice the taste was awesome. The Portion was served was huge and would have easily been big enough to share for two. The Pad Thai noodles were ordered with dried Shrimps and Prawns and where as well super tasty. As on the Beef before as well here the portion was huge and we ended up in a takeaway.
Value for money wise we paid 196AED for two persons which is in range. You would not walk out of other Restaurants offering the quality and taste with less. For us Tangerine was a very pleasant discovery and we will surely pass by again if head down the Bay Avenue.

I had been today to the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Business Bay to try out the Breakfast at the Kitchen 6 Restaurant on the first floor. The JW Marriott Marquis is the tallest Hotel Towers in the world just slightly lower than the Empire State Building in New York with 355meters of height.
Kitchen 6 offers you 6 different live cooking stations in its all day dining setting. It is an international buffet featuring Asian woks, Middle Eastern grills, European breads and Indian tandoors. The Restaurant itself is so huge you have to walk quite some to see all stations and try them out. And I highly recommend to check out all of them if you are there.
The breakfast comes in at 140AED per person which is reasonable considering what you get. Only thing I did not see was a pork section, but I might have just overlooked it given the sheer size the Restaurant has.

extremely helpful and friendly, not too much, just perfect .
The Roads and Transport Authority is opening today (Wednesday) Al Asayel Road, linking Oud Metha with the Business Bay through a number of tunnels and bridges constructed at Zabeel and the Business Bay districts, said a press statement on Tuesday. That is good news specially if you are trying to get out of Business Bay…
The project comprises two tunnels; each of them has 3 lanes in each direction. The first tunnel branches from the Zabeel Road 2 and extends 850 meters, and the second tunnel branches from the Trade Center Road and extends 600 meters. Two bridges of two lanes in each direction have also been constructed at the Business Bay extending 700 meters. The project offers a free access to the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa through Emaar Boulevard in a safe and smooth manner for the benefit of road users.
The next step is to link Business Bay through the Go Dolphin area as per below.
Despite the official announcement was the 10th of July from the BlackBerry store in the Dubai Mall and as well Axiom this date has changed. The phone is available from today onwards at 899AED at almost all common retailers in the UAE.
I got a call today that mine is on the way and should reach tomorrow. So the review will follow soon…
it was for me daily frustrating to enter Business Bay with only one lane. Specially thanks to the idiots who think they are more important, drive to the top of the line and throw themselves in the queue. Not exiting is way easier and creating a reduced back traffic…
as per RTA annoucement diversions on Sheikh Zayed Road will start from 25th of October of this year. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), revealed that the company undertaking the construction of Phase I of the Dubai Water Canal was about to complete the diversion of all utility lines, and that it would start traffic diversion works on the Sheikh Zayed Road in the direction from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in July, such that traffic diversion to start from October 25th this year… That is gonna be happy drivings down that area..
Locationwise still a bit hidden on the Dubai Canal facing side of the Churchill towers, and reachable through sand only right now it is nevertheless my actual favorite location. The Marina one is small and difficult to park. The JLT one is good but parking is a disaster. Over here you can park in front of it directly for now. This probably will change in the next years once the area gets developed…
