The other day just before the Movies we had the chance to try out Al Forno at the Yas Mall. Al Forno is located at the Ground Floor close to the central Atrium. It is nicely kept in a simple Italian style with wooden chairs and tables, and a very rustic feel. We had been attended immediately and I found it really cool that the staff even tried to take the Italian theme further with using some Italian words during conversations.
We had a quick look on the menu and decided to order some Calamari Fritti and some Pizza bread together with a bottle of water. For the main courses we ordered a Lasagne di carna Al Forno and the Linguini with seafood. On top we good some bread with dip served complimentary.
The Calamari Fritti had been very good and the sauce they came with was complementing the taste. The Pizza bread was really good too and as was the complimentary served bread. The Lasagne looked not like a very huge portion when served, but it definitely made very full. Taste wise the Lasagne was perfect and for me among the best I ever had in the UAE. The Linguini had been good as well, but the portion was so much that we had some take away on it.
Value for money wise we have spend for 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of water 193AED which is very reasonable considering the quality of food served here. Overall there is nothing to complaint here, the setting of the Restaurant is very nice and the food we have tried was great. Surely a place to visit again if we are near.
