We passed by last evening at Paavo’s Pizza in Al Warqaa. Paavo’s is located easy to find at the ENOC Petrol Station on the Al Awir Road (E44) Dubai bound, and you will surely have no problems with parking as sufficient space is given.

Paavo’s Pizza ? Never heard? Me too.  Yes I have obviously seen the signs located on the Petrol Station in Tecom, but never really took it serious. Just another Pizza restaurant right? Wrong!  I love Pizza and when it comes to Pizza I am honestly quite choosy and not really going away from my usual supply, but somehow Paavo’s got me curious in trying.

First thing I noticed after entering, everybody is super friendly. Having had a look on the menu created even more curiosity.  Make your own Pizza? Sounds great. Ready within 5 minutes? Can this be any good ?  The only option to find out is trying, so we went for a medium sized half BBQ Chicken and half Peppi Paavo, and really, just 5 minutes later the Pizza arrived – and tasted awesome. I must admit I was quite skeptical before trying out Paavo’s, after eating only the first slice all doubts have been blasted. For me this is one of the best Pizzas out there. And the 5 minutes are possible because technology as developed further and makes it possible without any impact on quality.

But what about the starters or desserts? Maybe this is where the fail in taste is?  We got some Garlic Cheese bread over – stunning as well, and again for me the best tasting garlic bread in the UAE. I loved that it is not only french bread in slices with some garlic butter on it, but really a well made piece you will enjoy, heck I could take two of these as a full meal.

But it can’t all be perfect right? So we got some Potato Waffles. What? Yes, Potato Waffles. I have never heard or seen this either, The Potato Waffles came with a Marinara Sauce which alone would be worth ordering, but the Potato Waffles as well are really good – and unique. So far we had been pretty impressed with the great service and selection of Starters and Pizza we found here. But there are more items on the menu, there must be something that is not good. So bring on Cinnamon Sticks and the Chocolate Pizza from the desserts section!

As well these came pretty quickly and just the first taste of the Cinnamon Sticks confirmed that there seems to be no weakness on their complete menu. They have been that good that I was considering to order two more boxes for take away. Least was the Chocolate Pizza. Chocolate , Banana slices and Strawberries with Icing. Another delight and the final confirmation – You can order what you want at Paavo’s, you will not be disappointed.

We ended up being really full and happy to have a new favorite Pizza spot. ENOC, the sole franchisee of the brand in the UAE and Middle East, has already opened 6 stores across Dubai located in Al Qusais, Al Warqaa, Jumeirah, Nadd Al Hammar, Mushrif, and Tecom. Three more are set to open by the end of this year. ENOC also has an aggressive expansion plan to open 60 outlets across the GCC, in the next five years, and with the quality served and possibility to create the Pizza you want I have no doubt that this will become a huge success.  We will shortly be back to try the Breakfast Pizza. Watch this space for a Review!
