an Audi Smartwatch running Web OS? How cool is that?

So it seems that Audi is teaming up with LG to wring an Audi branded Smartwatch, shown off at the CES. The funny thing is that it is not running Android Wear but WebOS an OS that was almost dead.  If you press the center button a list of different Apps is brought up, with icons styled very much as on  LG’s smartphones.

A dialer, messages app, music, calendar, email and “LG Health W.” are available as it seems as well as an Audi App. This Audi App allows you to control various parts of a paired vehicle, including unlocking over NFC.  Sweet.  Back in the 80’s when I was watching Knight Rider with David Hasselhoff at home I always wished to have a watch communicating with anything. Not reality is not far away from that.

 The watch is  made of stainless steel and sapphire crystal, and is water-resistant as well. The watch just looks great unlike any other Smartwach out there. Not sure when this is coming and at what price, but is very cool…
