Movie Review: X-Men: Days of Future Past…

We went out yesterday to see X-Men: Days of Future Past at the Reel Cinemas @ The Beach in JBR.  The Plot in short:

Being in a Future where Sentinels rule the world and are out to kill Mutants and helping Humans the X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.

Logan: [to young Magneto] So, you always were an asshole…

I was not sure  about this movie when arranging the tickets. I had the feeling that this installment of the X-Men series would be  not strong enough after X-Men First Class I liked First Class even more than X-Men 2 which was the last one directed by Brian Singer before this. So I  went to see this movie with low expectation. I was surprised how wonderful and entertaining and surprising thoughtful the story was.  Days Of Future Past is the best X-men movie so far for me.

Hugh Jackman does the best Wolverine ever. The interesting chemistry between James McAvoy (Charles) and Michael Fassbender (Erik) is more enjoyable than ever. But Jennifer Lawrence (Raven/Mystique) and Evan Peters as Quicksilver steal the movie. Quicksilver may not look so cool but he is the coolest guy in the whole movie.

Believe me, this movie is worth your money. Moreover there are a bunch of new X-Men characters introduced in the movie which make it more enjoyable. Bryan Singer has done complete justice to this movie.
